For our client, a fast-growing AI consultancy in the Amsterdam region serving industrial sectors, we are looking for an AI Engineer who builds end-to-end AI solutions that actually run in production.

Our client is a fast-growing AI consultancy in the Amsterdam region that helps organisations in maritime, manufacturing, logistics and energy put AI to work. As AI Engineer you build custom AI systems from first concept to production deployment, working in small teams of three to four people on typically two concurrent projects. You get real ownership: you set the technical direction, work directly with clients and see the impact of your work in day-to-day operations. What you will do: - Design complex AI systems from conception through to production deployment - Develop full-stack applications, covering both front-end and back-end components - Integrate AI solutions into traditional IT environments and legacy systems - Lead the technical direction and solution architecture within your project team - Measure and quantify the impact of solutions to validate results with stakeholders - Collaborate closely with clients to deliver production-ready value What you bring: - At least 2 years of experience building end-to-end software and AI systems - Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals - Production experience with LLM applications, such as RAG, prompt engineering and orchestration frameworks like LangChain - Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform - A master's degree in a technical field such as AI, computer science or engineering - Fluency in Dutch and English - The ability to take the lead in a small technical team What is offered: - A key role in a scaling AI organisation with plenty of room to grow - High-impact projects with clearly visible results for clients - Significant ownership and influence on technical direction - Direct collaboration with founders and senior stakeholders - Competitive compensation with room for development Interested?
