For our client, an international technology organisation in the Netherlands, we are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller with 3 to 5 years of experience who wants to grow towards a full controlling role.

Our client is an international technology organisation in the Netherlands with a strong position in its market. The finance team is compact and professional, which means you get broad responsibilities and short lines to management. As Assistant Financial Controller you support the Financial Controller in the day-to-day financial operation and the periodic closing process, and you help improve processes and reporting. What you will do: - Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual closing of the books - Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyse differences - Support the preparation of management reports and financial analyses - Process and check journal entries, accruals and intercompany transactions - Assist with VAT returns and other tax filings - Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle - Contribute to the improvement and automation of financial processes - Act as a point of contact for the accountant during the annual audit What we ask: - A completed bachelor or master degree in finance, accountancy, economics or business administration - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial control - Solid knowledge of Dutch accounting standards; familiarity with international reporting is a plus - Strong skills in Excel and experience with a modern ERP system - An analytical, accurate and hands-on way of working - Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written What our client offers: - A competitive salary in line with your experience - A permanent position with room to grow towards a Financial Controller role - Training opportunities and support for further professional education - A pension plan, holiday allowance and modern secondary benefits - An informal, international working environment with an ambitious team Interested?
