Full Stack Developer (Python, TypeScript) at a tech company in Hoofddorp that links software and hardware for airport logistics; small team, hybrid, security clearance required.
Full Stack Developer wanted for a client in logistics technology at an airport in the Randstad region.
Stack: Python (Flask), TypeScript, Angular/Vue/React, SQL, GitHub, AWS.
The client develops, delivers and manages applications and systems that support the logistics process at airports and seaports. Almost all software is built in-house; the hardware (card readers, payment terminals, licence plate cameras, passport scanners) comes from suppliers. Making hardware and software work together well is the core of the job. You join a small, close team with an informal atmosphere and short decision lines, and you oversee the whole stack.
What you will do:
- Build and maintain back-end services in Python.
- Fix bugs, write tests and make code production-ready.
- Build integrations with hardware and with external systems at the airport.
- Pick up tasks from the sprint and deliver them as agreed.
- Document what you build so a colleague can take it over.
What you bring:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering or computer science, or a demonstrably equivalent level.
- At least 2 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Good knowledge of Python (back-end) and TypeScript (front-end).
- Experience with a front-end framework such as Angular, Vue or React.
- Experience with a Python web framework, preferably Flask.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with GitHub and used to documenting software and configuration properly.
- Knowledge of modern agentic coding tools.
- Dutch and English at a professional level.
- Experience with AWS is a plus.
- A Dutch security clearance (VGB) is required. The mandatory air cargo employee training is provided on hiring.
What you get:
- A permanent job at a technical company running critical infrastructure at the airport; a product that is used every day.
- A small team with short lines, where you get responsibility quickly.
- Room to learn new languages and AWS, guided by experienced engineers.
- Based in Hoofddorp, hybrid possible. During onboarding at most 1 day per week from home, because you first need to get to know the hardware, the team and the airport.
- Salary and conditions matching your experience.
