For our client, an international medical technology organisation in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Global Head of IT & Development who will own the digital services strategy and lead the global IT and software development functions.

Our client is an international medical technology organisation headquartered in the Netherlands, active in a regulated clinical environment. As Global Head of IT & Development you are responsible for the digital services strategy, the implementation of the organisation's cloud platform for connected equipment, and the global IT and software development functions. You solve complex, abstract issues that require contextual thinking and vision. You are an autonomous thinker who proactively brings vision and solutions forward, and you operate comfortably at both board level and with engineering teams. What you will do: - Lead the development of the strategic roadmap for the organisation's digital services - Lead the development of the strategic roadmap for the operational systems landscape - Engage customers and the global management team to shape and support the digital services and operational strategy, gathering requirements and feedback and building shared objectives - Oversee the translation of the digital services and operational strategy into an actionable roadmap with project scopes, schedules, budgets, milestones and deliverables - Approve selected technology, architecture and designs - Ensure regulatory compliance of the organisation's technology systems - Maintain a marketplace assessment covering competitive threats, collaboration opportunities, acquisition targets and partnerships - Supervise the global IT, ERP development and cloud platform functions What you bring: - A relevant master's degree (for example Information Technology or Computer Science) or equivalent proficiency through documented experience - 10+ years of relevant professional and management experience - Proven experience as a technology leader in a clinical operations setting is preferred but not required - Fluent in English, both verbal and written - Expert knowledge of contemporary technology stacks and cloud architecture, including Python, Java and JavaScript - Experience with ISO 9001, Gamp 5 and other quality frameworks - Experience with ISO 27001, Hitrust, Nist, Fisma and other security frameworks Preferred, not required: - Experience in the eClinical marketplace and its competitive landscape - Experience with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU GDPR, Hipaa and other clinical and privacy regulatory frameworks - Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), including the international guidelines for clinical trials What our client offers: - A global leadership role with direct impact on the digital strategy of an international organisation - The opportunity to build and scale digital services in a regulated, high-impact clinical environment - Close collaboration with the global management team and international customers - A permanent position based in the Netherlands with international scope
