Java Architect for a specialised Java and open-source consultancy with offices in Gelderland and Utrecht. You design the architecture of business-critical Java applications at clients, from government to financial services, and you stay close to the code.
What you will do:
- Design and guard the architecture of Java applications and integration landscapes.
- Make technology choices in Spring, microservices, messaging and container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Coach development teams at the client, review code and set the standards.
- Advise clients on modernisation, cloud migration and security.
- Share knowledge internally through meetups, training and the firm's own knowledge group.
What you bring:
- At least 8 years of Java experience, several of them as architect or lead.
- Deep knowledge of Spring, Java EE or Jakarta EE and of distributed systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
- You explain architecture decisions clearly to developers and to management.
- Fluent Dutch, spoken and written.
