For our client, a technology organisation in the Netherlands that develops custom software solutions for a broad range of customers, we are looking for a Java Developer. You will join a close-knit development team where craftsmanship, knowledge sharing and personal initiative are highly valued. Depending on your preference you can focus more on back-end or front-end work, or take on the full stack. What you will do: - Design and develop software applications in a Java environment, both back-end and front-end - Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and write clear analysis documentation - Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with external systems - Write automated tests and help safeguard code quality within the team - Contribute ideas on architecture, tooling and continuous improvement What we ask: - A completed degree at hbo or university level, preferably in computer science or a related field - Demonstrable experience with Java, preferably including frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot - Knowledge of relational databases and SQL - Familiarity with modern development practices such as version control, CI/CD and agile working - Good command of Dutch and English What is offered: - An attractive salary package with solid secondary benefits - A laptop and phone provided by the employer - Room for initiative and professional growth, including training and certifications - An informal working environment with short lines of communication and a strong focus on software craftsmanship
