Our client is an IT consultancy organisation in the Utrecht region that puts software craftsmanship at the heart of everything it does. The engineers work on challenging assignments for clients in various sectors, while continuously investing in their own development and in each other. Knowledge sharing is part of the culture: colleagues speak at national and international developer conferences, publish technical articles and organise regular internal knowledge sessions and workshops. What you will do: - Design, build and maintain robust backend applications in Java for a variety of clients - Work with modern frameworks and tooling such as Spring, REST API design, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms - Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews and engineering best practices - Share your knowledge with colleagues and client teams, for example through presentations, workshops or technical writing - Keep exploring new technologies and bring what you learn back to the team What we ask: - At least 4 years of professional experience as a Java Developer - Solid knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including frameworks such as Spring and experience with SQL databases - Familiarity with agile ways of working, automated testing and CI/CD - The drive to keep learning and the ability to transfer your knowledge to others - Good command of Dutch and English What is offered: - A permanent position with plenty of room for personal and professional growth - A generous training budget and time for education, tailored to your personal needs - Participation in conferences, trade events and monthly internal knowledge sessions - A culture built on trust and freedom rather than control - Varied assignments at appealing clients across the Netherlands Interested?
