An IT consultancy in Amsterdam is looking for a lead data engineer. The company delivers data and software projects for clients in different sectors. In this role you combine hands on engineering with technical leadership of a project team.
What you will do:
- Lead the technical design of data platforms and pipelines for clients
- Guide a team of data engineers on architecture and best practices
- Build and optimise data pipelines yourself when needed
- Translate client requirements into a technical roadmap
- Act as a technical point of contact for the client
What you bring:
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering
- Experience leading a team or project technically
- Strong knowledge of Python, SQL and cloud data platforms
- Experience with tools such as Airflow, Kafka or Spark
- Comfortable working directly with clients
