An international software company in Zuid-Holland is looking for a Lead Java Developer. It builds a metadata platform that large knowledge institutions in Europe and Asia use to manage extensive collections. Hybrid, full time (part time negotiable), international team. Senior role: with 5 to 10 years of experience you lead analysis, architecture and quality. Salary 4400 to 5400 euro gross per month, depending on experience.
What you will do:
- High-level analysis and design of the metadata platform.
- Design, build and test modules, improve existing functionality.
- Decide in architecture reviews and planning.
- Plan and run load, capacity and performance tests.
- Write requirements, turn them into design and code.
- Run continuous integration, environments and releases.
- Analyse and fix problems in existing systems.
What you bring:
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience with Java and Spring, plus React.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, EKS and ECS.
- Good knowledge of Linux and scripting.
- Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- Nice to have: PostgreSQL, Git, C and daily use of AI tools.
