A growing, knowledge-driven services firm in IT and data is looking for a Managing Director. The company has grown fast over the past years and aims to more than double its revenue within three years, both organically and through acquisitions. An investor is on board. You take over day-to-day responsibility for the business and build the organisation that can carry this ambition. Sales sits with the commercial director, delivery with the operations director. You bring both together and set one clear course.
What you will do:
- Own strategy, revenue, profit, cash flow and return.
- Translate the long-term strategy into annual plans and KPIs.
- Develop and execute the buy-and-build strategy, from target selection to integration.
- Build a scalable organisation: management structure, leadership, culture and retention of key talent.
- Chair the management team, set priorities and speed up decisions.
- Act as the primary contact for shareholders and the investor.
What you bring:
- Experience as a managing director or general manager with full responsibility in a growing company of roughly five million revenue or more.
- A background in consulting, IT, data or comparable knowledge-driven services.
- A proven record of revenue and organisational growth, with strong financial and business insight.
- Experience leading a management team and professionalising an organisation.
- Preferably experience with M&A and with a shareholder or investor.
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven and connecting, strategic and hands-on at the same time.
